Thanks to the generosity of our community, we are proud to share that we have already achieved our fundraising goal ahead of the Annual Conference for our BOMA Cares outreach project in Long Beach benefiting The People Concern. At the same time, our community is facing an unexpected and deeply tragic loss. Members of the BOMA Greater Los Angeles community have been profoundly affected, including the passing of a loved one and serious injuries to another.
In response, we are shifting our efforts to support the impacted families. Through the close of the Annual Conference, we will host a dedicated fundraising initiative, with contributions directed toward medical and funeral-related expenses.* We are grateful for the compassion and generosity that define this community, and for the many ways you can continue to show up for one another during difficult times. *Donations collected for the purpose of supporting the families of the BOMA GLA are voluntary gifts for personal benefit and ARE NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE under U.S. federal tax law.
The People Concern empowers the most vulnerable in Los Angeles County to rebuild their lives. Formed in 2016 through the merger of OPCC and Lamp Community, the agency draws on more than sixty years of experience to provide evidence‑based solutions to homelessness and domestic violence.
Their services include outreach, interim housing, mental and medical health services, substance abuse treatment, domestic violence support, life skills, wellness programs, pet support, and permanent supportive housing—tailored to the needs of homeless individuals, survivors of domestic violence, youth, and others with nowhere else to turn.
This comprehensive model helps participants overcome obstacles, achieve stability, and reconnect with their communities.
BOMA International is proud to share the great work being done within the BOMA network and serve as a source of inspiration for those looking to lead a new community service initiative through their BOMA local association. To share the great work your BOMA local association is doing, please contact your BOMA local BAE or lvallejo@boma.org to learn how you can submit your information.
