This session is dedicated to the post event phase—such as managing press inquiries, navigating insurance, coordinating with building engineers, and other critical follow up actions. Speakers will briefly cover risk factors at properties and preparing before the event (preparedness plans, tenant coordination, communication protocols, vendor relationships, and insurance documentation), before diving deep into what to do after the event. Speakers will share lessons learned and long-term strategies.
Learning Objectives—At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Identify key post‑event responsibilities—including press management, insurance coordination, and engineering follow‑up—to ensure an organized and effective response.
- Assess property risk factors and apply preparedness strategies such as communication protocols, tenant coordination, and vendor planning.
- Explain the steps required to navigate insurance processes and documentation after an event.
- Evaluate lessons learned from real‑world scenarios to develop long‑term strategies that strengthen future preparedness and operational resilience.
